Strategies for Reclaiming the Land

The book of Joshua is about reclaiming the land of Canaan (Israel) that was given to Abram and the Israelites in the book of Genesis. After 400 years of serving as slaves in Egypt, God sent Moses to free the Israelites and return them to Canaan. After wandering in the wilderness for 40 years, the time came for the new generation of Israelites to cross the Jordan River and step their feet on the ground of their new home.

Before entering the land, the Lord said, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

At the onset, the Lord told the Israelites that courage and strength would be needed for the days ahead. These four words, ‘be strong and courageous,’ alerts the traveler that trouble, fear, and battles lay ahead.

As the Israelites prepared to enter their Promise Land, the Lord said, “I will give you every place where you set your foot.”

At the onset, the Lord made sure the Israelites knew that reclaiming their land would require action. They would have to trust Him, their strategic and victorious God, to reclaim the land given to their ancestors hundreds of years earlier.

Eleven times in Joshua chapter 1-11, we see the words, “The Lord said to Joshua.” To overcome the enemy and regain the land, inquiring of the Lord, listening to His response, and obeying His guidance would be required.

Complacent No More

Reclaiming and restoring the land overtaken by the enemy is a step-by-step, day-by-day battle. Today in our country, we find ourselves in the battle to take back what the enemy has taken while we, the Church, have been complacent in our responsibility to bear arms of Christianity and righteous living. Stay with me. This is not a beatdown of the Church, but rather an encouragement for us to follow the same strategy given to Joshua.

1. Be strong and courageous.
2. Move to action, trusting the Lord to strategically and victoriously lead us.
3. Inquire of the Lord, listen to His response, and obey His guidance step by step and day by day to retake and restore the land to the Christian values under which it was originally established.

The Vision

The Lord is re-igniting the gifting in His Body- one of mine is prophesy. Recently I received a vision from the Lord. Thrilled to have received it, along with the interpretation, I am sharing it to encourage, edify and build us up. God is with us. He has not forsaken us. He has a great plan for America and we are all part of reclaiming the land for His purposes.

On the morning of April 9, 2020, the Lord awakened me, beckoning me to listen and pray. This was not an unusual occurrence; the Lord often awakens me to pray for others.  But this was new in that my spirit was opened to hearing from God on a larger scale. As I sat in His presence, He spoke six audible words into my spirit.

What were those six words? “He’s moving west. He’s bringing horses.” As He spoke, He gave me a vision of a horse trailer that housed many horses, all in various shades of brown.

At first, I thought the words had personal meaning, and I was taken aback. Who was moving west, and what significance were the horses? I reflected and prayed through these six words for weeks, seeking understanding. Then I realized, through a series of events, the Lord was giving me insight into how to intercede for our nation.

• “He” refers to the Lord Jesus Christ, our victorious Commander in the battle for truth.
• “Horses” are symbols of war. The color of the horses was reddish-brown.
• The size of the “horse trailer” showed me there were four horses.

As I prayed and meditated over these six words, the Lord revealed their hidden meaning. He who has ears, let him hear.

The Meaning

The Lord showed me the four horses were placed strategically along the east coast, each carrying a rider. He showed me a thin veil, the color of flesh, covering our nation. The color of flesh represents that the veil is made of the fleshly desires of man – the desires of greed, power, money, and influence. Each horseman held a portion of the veil in his uplifted right hand, while holding the rein of the horse in the left hand. (In the prophetic, the right side of the body represents faith; the left side represents what we are born with – strength, skill, etc.)

As the Commander of the Lord’s Army signals, the horses move westward at a steady pace. As the horses move, the hands of the horsemen pull back the veil to reveal the truth of the evil workings and lies taking place beneath the veil of corruption.  The movement continues, steady and sure, across the nation. As the sun rises in the east and moves westward, so the Lord begins the unveiling (or unmasking) of the ‘truth of lies’ from the east coast of our nation (yea, even our world), and – as the horses move swiftly in battle – so will the Lord move swiftly in unveiling and exposing the evil actions, intents, ambushes, and deceit set against our land, allowing us to see His plan and strategy for reclaiming our land.

Awaken, Arise, Speak

The Lord beckons to His children, to His church, awaken from your slumber. He says, “I am exposing the deep state of vile corruption that has taken place while you have slept. Do not be shocked by what you see, but rather, step out in love and peace toward all in your pathway. The thin covering is being removed so My truth can penetrate the hearts of man, both believers and unbelievers.”

Complacency be no more. Christ followers arise. Speak truth. Live truth. Pray for the swift removal of the veil of lies, deceit, and corruption that covers the land. We have been lulled to sleep by the complacency of our flesh. But the Lord is removing the blinders from our eyes. He is bringing the darkness into light. Arise, children of the Most High God. Remove the blinders, seek the truth. Intercede for truth to be exposed, from the east to the west, across all continents, across all leaders, that the true veil of lies be removed and the truth of God, of justice, of righteousness, rise and be revealed in this hour.

The ‘church’ sits  in complacency, small mindedness, comfort, and silence, with ignorant trust in our government and elected officials to do what is best for us and for our nation. Greed, self-promotion, lies, and power are the weapons they have used to keep us in our complacent, non-threatening way of life. We have lost much. The Lord is calling us to arise and reclaim all that has been lost, stolen, taken, while we have slumbered in our lives of ease and prosperity.

Our Response

Be His light. Speak truth. Pray. Express faith and love to everyone you meet. Stand up for what is right and declare the truth of God into the atmosphere and into the hearts of those you love. The Lord is victorious – we arise and call His truth into the nations, yes even into the world. And by using the strategies introduced to us by Joshua, we will be victorious in reclaiming our inheritance, our nation.

• Be strong and courageous. Do not fear.
• Inquire of the Lord and walk in obedience to His strategic direction.
• Take action as He leads us to reclaim our land.
